The July 2009 issue of Consumer Reports has hit the stands, updating their article from over a decade ago. I am curious what the opinions of clinicians, potential patients, and manufacturers are regarding the usefullness of the article. While some consumers may prefer to have a "rating" system for each brand and/or model, this is a daunting task, and would limit the "life expectancy" of this information, because the technology changes so rapidly. Instead, the article focuses on technology and service issues from a "patient journey" perspective, and provides reasonable information regarding the process.
