Ryan Shuman is Director of Public Policy at the Hearing Industries Association (HIA), where he leads the organization's federal and state policy strategies. Before HIA, Ryan served as a Senior Legislative Assistant for U.S. Representative Joe Neguse of Colorado, managing a broad legislative portfolio and supporting the Congressman's work on the House Rules Committee. He also spent two years working as a coordinator for a global nonprofit focused on conflict resolution and advocacy.
Ryan grew up in Boulder, Colorado. He holds an M.P.A. from the University of Washington's Evans School of Public Policy and Governance and a B.A. in political science and English literature from the University of Redlands.
